I tasted the November 2021 bottling of the 2001 Colección Añadas Amontillado en Rama, a single-harvest Amontillado that is now 20 years old. It has 20.5% alcohol and a bright and intense amber color and a similarly intense nose and palate. It has textbook characteristics of an old Amontillado, keeping the sharp and marine edge but adding more nutty and volatile touches that add complexity and lift up the finish. At the same time, the wine feels more focused. This is delicious!
