Mainly Syrah, with a bit of Grenache blended in, the 2019 Cotes du Rhone Villages Saint Maurice Echevin boasts hints of cracked pepper and garrigue, plus vibrant blueberry fruit. It's medium to full-bodied, round in the mouth and supple, yet retains ample length on the silky finish. This is charming, seductive Southern Rhône Syrah at close to its best, with a decade or so of delicious drinking ahead of it.
