Domaine Billaud-Simon Chablis Grand Cru Les Blanchots 2015

This wine was aged for 14 months, including a period in wood that gives it richness and a smooth texture. It is concentrated, with intense citrus fruit balanced by minerality and a flinty edge. The wine, from the easternmost and smallest of the Grand Crus, will age well. Drink from 2021. 

Soigné, empreint d'une belle douceur saline, il est confortablement alangui dans son fruit mûr, hélas dépourvu de fraîcheur et plutôt pâteux en finale. C'est une déception.
