Esta es una selección de viñedos a unos 2.300 metros, propiedad de Colomé en los Valles Calchaquíes. Tal como en todos los vinos de la casa, pero quizás aquí con mayor profundidad, se siente la fuerte presencia de la madurez de las frutas contrastando con una acidez firme y tensa que acompaña al vino hasta el final. Los sabores y aromas son netamente frutales, maduros y suculentos. Un vino de muy buen cuerpo, de taninos pulidos (como es el estilo de la casa) para pastel de carne. Se llama Auténtico porque intenta emular el estilo original de Colomé, cuando en la bodega no existía la barrica y los vinos se criaban solo en piletas de cemento.

Blackberries, dark spices, oyster shells and graphite with a lift of violets. A full-bodied malbec with round, polished tannins. Very primary with plush fruit. Showing complexity without referring to oak. Vegan. Really delicious now.

The Wine Advocate:

The 2021 Auténtico Malbec feels very young and a bit raw, like it needs a little more time. This unoaked wine was produced as an homage to the ancestral style of the zone (and to the winery when it belonged to the previous owner, the Dávalos family). It has the intensity and power of Salta and the vines at 2,300 meters in altitude, and it opens up nicely in the glass if you wait a bit. It has very good acidity, which makes it very balanced. Fifteen percent of the volume matured in concrete egg for 10 months and the rest in stainless steel. 65,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in January 2022.
