Vivanco Cuveé Inédita Rosado Reserva Extra Brut 2021

The 2021 Cuvée Inédita Rosé Reserva Extra Brut is a sparkling rosé produced with a bright salmon color and a clean and expressive nose, a dry palate with frothy bubbles and a vibrant texture with some ripe red fruit, then yeasty and nutty notes in the finish. It was produced with a blend of 90% Garnacha and 10% Mazuelo and kept with lees in bottle after refermenting for 30 months. It has elegance and complexity, ripeness and volume, reflected by the 12.5% alcohol, and very good freshness and acidity, a pH of 3.0 and 8.1 grams of sugar. 4,633 bottles produced. It was disgorged in September 2024.

Not quite as exciting as the straight Extra Brut, but this is still a creditable, bone-dry bubbly made from Garnacha and 10% Mazuelo. Taut, tangy and slightly austere, this has flavours of redcurrant and rhubarb, a twist of aniseed, a nip of tannins and a sappy finish. 2026-30
