The Wine Advocate:

The NV Jalifa Rare Old Dry Amontillado Solera Especial VORS has a dry and pungent nose, serious and with more salinity, as it corresponds to an Amontillado with a Manzanilla origin with an average age of over 30 years. I don't see a clear bottling date on the back label, but it's possibly indicated by a lot code. They had to start refreshing it with Fino because Jerez and Manzanilla are two separate appellations. It combines the saline/biological notes with aromas of varnish and hazelnuts. The palate is pungent and concentrated, with 20% alcohol, finishing with a salty and bitter twist. It's long and persistent, with finesse. This is produced at a smaller scale, some 1,000 half-liter bottles per year.
