"The 2011 Trossos Velles is pure Carinena from nine different plots of old vines on red clay soils. It has black aromas of graphite, peat and shoe polish over a good core of ripe and equally black fruit and cinnamon aromas from the aging in oak barrels. The palate shows some dusty tannins and good acidity which lift the wine up, and persistent flavors with a licorice aftertaste. This is a good example of old-vine Carinena. Drink 2015-2019".

Demasiada presencia de "madera", quizá producto de la raspa; pero ocultaba la fruta en exceso y dominaba el postgusto.
Un buen vino, aunque esperaba más.
