I also tasted the 2017 Astrales, which shows a little more rusticity and different quality of tannins, from a year that was very different from 2016. The production and élevage were similar, with native fermentation and 18 months in barrique. 57,500 bottles.

James Suckling:

Blueberries and blackberries with some lavender undertones. Medium body, firm and silky tannins and a medium finish. A little austere at the end, but shows tension and focus. Drink or hold.
