James Suckling:

A pale, pure espadeiro with aromas of cranberries, pomegranates and a hint of geraniums. The palate is medium- to full-bodied with subtle red berry character, juicy concentration and an elegant finish. Fermented with 100% full clusters. This only filled a single 500-liter used French oak barrel. From a 45-year-old single vineyard. Drink now.

Pensares is a varietal Espadeiro from a single plot called Ganarela in the Vilariño zone of Cambados. Appealingly fresh and light in alcohol at just 10%, it's engagingly floral and sappy, combining potpourri and lily aromas with a palate of mint, tobacco leaf and goji berry and a mineral core. 2025-30
