The Triacca 2017 Valtellina Superiore Sassella draws its fruit from one of the most celebrated subzones of the Valtellina region known for its especially bright and linear fruit. This warm-vintage expression delivers pressed cherry, crushed flowers and dark granite rock. The wine shows a solid and firm center of gravity, and it sits firmly on the palate despite its lean-bodied approach. It has the fresh acidity and the mountain freshness to pair with some classic pizzoccheri, a Valtellina staple of buckwheat pasta, Swiss chard and Casera cheese.
