Savoury, intense and wild, this is a very unusual Tinto Fino from clay and limestone soils on the páramo of Piñel de Arriba. Fermented with 25% whole bunches for extra structure and perfume, it's earthy and herbal, with notes of truffle, autumn leaves and clove, sweet oak and plenty of zip and acidity for a wine with 15.5% alcohol. 2023-27

The initial umami funk doesn’t block the aromas of pepper, ripe blackberry fruit, dark chocolate, minerals and dark mushrooms. Full-bodied with creamy tannins and a long, layered finish. Drink or hold.
