Gosset Grand Rosé Brut

Notes of tangerine, peach, white flowers and wheat toast preface the latest rendition of Gosset's NV Brut Grand Rosé, a medium to full-bodied, pillowy and charming wine with a fleshy core of fruit, chalky structure and tangy acids. A fruity and open rosé champagne with notes of red apples, raspberries, brioche and honey. Touch of balsamic. Medium-bodied, with soft bubbles and a broad, inviting array of red berry fruit. Nicely dry and fresh at the end. 50% chardonnay and 50% pinot noir, based on the 2016 harvest with 8% reserve wines, with 8% red wine. Disgorged October 2022. 8g/L dosage. Drink now. Very pretty light orangy hue. Clean fruity nose accented by orange peel and biscuit tones. The palate is energetic yet silky and offers up more of the same intense aromatics. A versatile rosé Champagne for the aperitif or with a meal.

A fruity rosé Champagne, this is fresh with a fine touch of red-currants. It does have a little bottle aging, with a yeasty ripeness. The wine has bright acidity at the end. Drink now. (Roger Voss)
