The 2017 Châteauneuf Du Pape Haute Pierre (80/20 Grenache and Syrah brought up in foudre and tank) reveals a deep ruby/purple color as well as a classic nose of ripe dark fruits, peppered meats, underbrush, and olives. Rich, medium to full-bodied, beautifully balanced and with notable purity, it's a terrific effort from this Northern Rhône-based domaine.
