James Suckling:

A modern interpretation of Ripasso, full-weighted, palate-staining and framed by mocha oak. The oak tannins are so obtuse that it is very hard to detect anything else, although there are notes of black forest fruit, cloves and anise. Time may do this favors, but one would be wise to bet against it. Scored with optimism. Drink or hold.
