Deze monovariëteit van Garnacha komt van één oude wijngaard op de top van een van de heuvels van Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Hij rijpt 18 maanden in 'demi-muid', een groot vat dat veel in Frankrijk wordt gebruikt. All Grenache raised in older demi-muids, the 2020 Chateauneuf du Pape l'Avenue is a pretty special effort. Floral, tea-like aromas accent strawberries, raspberries and cherries on the nose, while the full-bodied palate is taut yet silky, with amazingly fine-grained tannins, plenty of complexity and a long, long finish.

The 2020 Châteauneuf Du Pape L'Avenue (100% Grenache) is similarly hued and boasts a similarly seamless, elegant, incredibly layered profile. Black cherries, redcurrants, chalky minerality, and ground pepper are just some of its nuances, and it's full-bodied, with a layered, seamless mouthfeel, beautiful tannins, and a great finish.

Deep ruby colour, purple reflections, broad brightening on the rim. A touch of liquorice and black forest berries, some juniper, mineral touch, southern dry herbs in the background. Substantial, delicately floral, fine sweet cherry fruit, velvety, ripe tannins, a touch of figs on the finish. An elegant and accessible wine and a multi-faceted food wine.
