L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

The 2024 Le Carillon d'Angélus offers up notes of dark berries, minty cherries and toasty oak, followed by a medium-bodied, softer and rounder palate that's more charming than the No. 3.

Falstaff:

Dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, broad rim brightening. Delicate notesof liquorice and clove, black forest berries, fine herbal savouriness, nuances ofcranberry. Juicy, elegant, red cherry fruit, finesse-rich acid structure, mineral-salty,a delicate and lively food companion.Dark ruby, purple reflections, subtle edge brightening. Delicately floral red forest

Tim Atkin:

Some beginnings of oak with sweet spices and much darker black fruit than the No. 3. Rich blue and black fruit depth with ripe tannins and  sweet herbs. This is rich and concentrated for the vintage, and manages to keep hold of the Angélus style. Long finish with ripe tannins and good depth.
