Aromas of apricots and herbs, with subtle flowers adding lift. The palate is medium- to full-bodied, showing stone fruit and vibrant, mouthwatering acidity. It’s dense yet balanced, with real flesh and precision. Incisive and well defined. Drink now or hold. (Jacobo Garcia-Andrade Llamas)
The characterful single-vineyard white 2020 Las Vidres was produced with Doña Blanca grapes from a plot in the village of Villadepera in Arribes del Duero at 800 meters above sea level on slate soils. It fermented with indigenous yeasts in used barrels where it also matured for 12 months followed by 12 more months in concrete. It has 13% alcohol and a pH of 3.1 denoting freshness. It has abundant notes of pollen, wild herbs and flowers and a seamless and tasty palate with pungent and vibrant flavors and a long, clean and well-defined finish. 2,000 bottles were filled in May 2023.
