A welcome discovery for me this year, Díaz Bayo is located at 900 metres in comparatively remote Fuentelcésped. Showing the freshness and herbal notes of a more marginal site, this handles its 60% new wood with ease, showing racy blackberry and raspberry flavours, engaging purity and focus and the understated concentration of 50- to 70-year-old bush vines. 2020-29
