Goliardo A Telleira Caiño is een rode wijn van één perceel, gemaakt van 100% Caiño-druiven, een typische druivensoort uit Galicië en Noord-Portugal. Het is een intense, complexe wijn met delicate kruidige tonen, zachte tannines en een karakteristieke minerale geur. Een levendige en krachtige rode wijn die perfect past bij gegrild rood vlees, wildgerechten en traditionele stoofpotjes met peulvruchten

Picked late, even in a warmer vintage like 2020, this is a subtle, domesticated iteration of Caíño Tinto. Showing tannins that would show well in a line-up of Italian Nebbiolos, it's pithy, tangy and savoury, with notes of rose petal and wild strawberry, understated oak, plenty of sinewy grip and a mineral core that flirts with austerity. 2024-30
A truly unique wine with aromas that jump out of the glass, with flowers, cracked pepper, cranberries, spices and red fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with silky tannins, delicate fruit and freshness. Harmonious and precise. This comes from a 45-year-old pergola-trained vineyard in Meano. The vineyard is harvested twice, first looking for freshness and then for precise maturity. The wine ages for 24 months, first in used barrels and then in 600-liter new French oak barrels. Drink or hold.
The nose of the 2020 Goliardo A Telleira Caíño made me think of a red Burgundy, perfumed and elegant, spicy and floral. The wine has an austere palate, light to medium-bodied with clean aromas and flavors, very fine tannins and an elegant finish. 600 bottles were filled in January 2023.
