De Cost Rubin Barbaresco DOCG van Fontanafredda is een elegante en traditionele wijn met veel karakter. Hij is gemaakt van Nebbiolo-druiven uit de wijngaarden van Treiso, Barbaresco en Neive en heeft een verleidelijke geur van rijpe pruimen, bosbessen en viooltjes, aangevuld met tonen van zoethout, kaneel en tabak. In de mond komen goed gestructureerde tannines, intense fruitigheid en een mooie afdronk naar voren. Perfect bij rode vleesgerechten en half- en langgerijpte kazen

I like the nutty, dry spice on the nose with undertones of red berries that open up to lots of lovely wild-strawberry jam, enhanced by well-controlled acidity and velvety tannins that add density and finesse to the palate and length to the finish. Hard to resist now, but give it a while. It will only improve. Try from 2022.
