Ripe blackcurrants and blackberries with purple flowers, toasted spices and wet earth. Full-bodied, firm and structured with chewy tannins. Layered and chocolaty with a rich, fruity finish. A blend of cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc. Drink or hold.

The 2021 Maremma Toscana Cabernet Botrosecco (with both Cabernets Sauvignon and Franc) shows ripe cherry fruit and a hint of candied caramel over a mouthfeel that carries a lot of fruit weight, but it ultimately carries that well. The wine is expertly made, and you get an easy interpretation with soft, rich fruit from one of the hottest areas of coastal Tuscany. This is a no-brainer best buy.
