"We've learnt how to make it," says Mayte Calvo of the third vintage of this Haro Tempranillo Blanco. Subtly wooded in larger foudres, it has nicely intertwined citrus and passion fruit f lavours, a twist of white pepper and more zip and freshness than many of its competitors. 2024-27
The 2022 La Vicalanda Tempranillo Blanco has a balsamic nose with notes of bay leaf, white flowers and citrus. It has contained ripeness and 13% alcohol, with a modern profile, good freshness and a fresh palate that is fruit-driven and serious, with a clean finish. It fermented at a low temperature and matured in French oak foudres for 10 months. 10,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in April 2023. This was first produced in 2019. - Luis Gutiérrez.
