Via Edetana Rood 2022

The red 2022 Via Edetana Garnatxa Negra/Garnatxa Peluda was produced with grapes of different biotypes of Garnacha, red and "Peluda," and it shows a mixture of red and black fruit, Mediterranean herbs and some creamy oak. It's ripe without excess at 14.5% alcohol, with mellow acidity and some fine tannins. It fermented in stainless steel and matured in 500-liter oak barrels. 24,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in February 2024.

Very much a wine of the land; dried shrubs, garrigue and earth inflected red fruit. Chewy. 2024-2028. (Fintan Kerr)
