The 2022 Monastrell is from a property at 800 meters above sea level. It fermented in small stainless steel tanks with neutral yeasts and matured in French and American oak barrels. This is quite oaky; it's the style of the wine and with notes from the American wood, quite noticeable in the Monastrell, with notes of coconut and vanilla. It's ripe at 15% alcohol, reflecting the warm and dry year, with a pH of 3.63 and 5.4 grams of acidity. It has a full-bodied palate with abundant tannins and a finish dominated by the oak. For fans of the style. 12,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in August 2024. (Luis Gutiérrez)
