The young red 2023 Birak, from vines harvested early to keep the freshness, comes through as serious and balanced, complex beyond its price point, tasty, varietal, juicy and fresh, with 14% alcohol, a pH of 3.34 and 6.5 grams of acidity. It still has some tannins that should get polished by some more time in bottle, and it would be better with food. Delicious! 6,840 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2024.
