Avaliação dos especialistas

James Suckling:

Good depth for the vintage. This almost tastes quite complete at this stage. Dark chocolate, dark cherries and berries. Fresh, firm tannins on the palate with medium body, juicy fruit and a nice length.

Vinous:

The 2024 Grand Corbin Despagne is very fine. Plush contours wrap around a core of plum, blackberry, licorice, spice and menthol. Medium in body, with lovely density, the 2024 is impeccable in its balance. This is a terrific showing in a very difficult year. (Antonio Galloni)

Tim Atkin:

Some spices from oak revealing themselves already with clove and black olive. Black fruit underneath. Moderate extraction with juicy black fruit and a hint of iodine and hoisin. Fresh acidity and supple tannins, and the beginnings of silkiness on the finish. A good effort.

Decanter:

Fresh flowers on the nose, cool and refreshing with blueberry scents too. Clean and softly grippy, tannins are fine and edged slightly with liquorice and wet stone putting the terroir into the glass. It’s lacking a touch in density and more follow through but the fruit is clean and pure. Delicate and gentle. Balanced. (Georgina Hindle)

The Wine Advocate:

The 2024 Grand Corbin-Despagne is a strong effort, offering up aromas of sweet berries and new oak, followed by a medium to full-bodied, layered and lively palate with good depth and density. (William Kelley)
