Meningen van critici

James Suckling:

This shows pretty cherry, raspberry and orange aromas and flavors with medium body and a bright, vivid finish. An attractive balance of fine tannins and acidity. Juicy at the end. A blend of 70% merlot, 25% cabernet franc and 5% cabernet sauvignon.

Jeb Dunnuck :

Black raspberries, spring flowers, hints of blue fruits, and chalky minerality all emerge from the 2024 Château Faugères. Medium-bodied, juicy, and forward, with gorgeous purity and fine tannins, it has the fresher style of the vintage with outstanding length. Based on 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, it spends 12 months in French oak, 30% new.

Bettane & Desseuve:

Tannin délié et sphérique, avec une réelle présence en bouche et de l’équilibre.

Vinous:

The 2024 Faugères is an expressive, layered wine with a good bit of energy. Bright red-toned fruit, blood orange, cinnamon, star anise and a kick of French oak confer exotic beauty. Pliant and medium in body, with fine overall harmony, Faugères has plenty to offer. A kick of white pepper and savory herbs from the Franc inform the finish. - Antonio Galloni.

Falstaff:

Deep dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, delicate edge brightening. Delicate dark forest berry fruit, a hint of cranberry, fine herbal savouriness, tobacco, a hint of orange zest. Taut, red berry, lively acidity, fine, ripe tannins, mineral-salty finish, shows good certain ageing potential.
