Bright floral, citrus, strawberry and cherry aromas follow through to a full body with bright,very lively tannins and zesty acidity. Energetic at the end. Very clean and bright. One for the cellar, though it’s already drinking beautifully.
Packaged in a heavy glass bottle, the 2018 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Vigna di Sessina (with 9,000 bottles released) reveals a streamlined personality with pinpoint aromas of wild berry, forest floor and dried blackberry. This wine is vertical, focused and even a bit nervous in personality thanks to its firm tannins and fresh acidity. There is momentary ripeness on the mid-palate, but the wine finds good balance overall.
Fresh red fruit and a hint of mint, spice and tea on the nose. Refined palate with lots of powdery tannins giving texture and frame. Clean finish with a salty touch.
