Château Siran 2024 en Primeur

Some roasted coffee, dark berries and cassis follow through to a juicy, medium- to full-bodied palate with nicely chewy tannins and a medium-long finish. Well-structured.

Dark ruby, purple reflections, subtle brightening on the rim. Delicate aromas of blackberries and cassis, a hint of nougat, orange zest, inviting bouquet. Medium complexity, round and juicy, animating acidity, balanced and good persistence.

Dried herbs, blackcurrant leaf, dark cherry scents. Clean and focussed, Juicy and plump, it retains a sense of leanness and sleekness, direct and focussed, tapering with the frame of the tannins towards a cool and salty finish but the initial fruit burst is lovely. Great acidity and bounce as well as seriousness. It needs to come together a bit more but it has both a sense of classicism and fun. Tasted twice. - Georgina Hindle.
