Description

Rouge issu de la célèbre A.O.C. Médoc. Le vignoble où sont cultivés les raisins de ce vin est classé Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel, le seul de la région à bénéficier de cette distinction. Il est élaboré à partir de Merlot, Cabernet sauvignon, Cabernet franc et Petit verdot, un coupage classique qui, selon les premières dégustations, donne un vin rouge au palais avec une bonne concentration de fruits rouges et noirs, frais, juteux et persistant.

La livraison de ce vin est prévue pour le deuxième trimestre 2025

Nez
Intense, aromatique et expressif. Il offre des arômes de myrtille et de fruits des bois, accompagnés de notes de graphite et de noix, ainsi qu'une subtile minéralité.
Bouche
Puissant, corsé, tout en étant équilibré et élégant.
Température de service
Il est recommandé de servir à 16 °C.
Garde
Jusqu'en 2042 environ, si conservé dans des conditions optimales.

Description
Vignobles situés à l'ouest du village de Potensac, occupant un double cuvette d'argile et de gravier qui abrite les meilleurs terroirs du pays.

Maritime. Pour le domaine, l'année 2022 a probablement été l'une des meilleures de ces 20 dernières années.

Ce vin est fermenté entre 15 et 18 jours dans des cuves en inox.

En fûts de chêne français, dont 20 % neufs.

James Suckling:

Polished and refined with a deep core of ripe berries with walnut undertones. Medium- to full-bodied with firm, velvety tannins and a lingering finish. Deep and complex.

Decanter:

Fragranced, black bramble fruit, so scented and aromatic. Crystalline pure fruit, blackcurrants, cherries and plums, with grippy, but super fine and fresh tannins and balanced acidity. You get the structure - wide, firm, so refined in terms of tannic impression, they're at the fore but so discerning and integrated, really supportive and help to focus the wine from start to finish. Precise and sleek, agile yet concentrated with a lovely cool and juicy core alongside graphite and pencil lead touches. Powerful but polished and ageable. A great buy. 1% Petit Verdot completes the blend. 3.64pH. 82 IPT.

Jeb Dunnuck:

The 2022 Château Potensac is based on 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and a splash of Petit Verdot. It has lots of ripe blue fruits, graphite, and gravelly earth to go with full-bodied richness and depth on the palate. It's a big, rich, tannic Potensac that's going to be long lived. I suspect 3-5 years of bottle age will be warranted here. 90-92+

Aromas of dark berries, cigar wrapper and licorice introduce the 2022 Potensac, a medium to full-bodied, rich and fleshy Médoc with a deep core of fruit and powdery structuring tannins. It's built along similar lines to the 2020.
