L'avis des experts

James Suckling:

A juicy and fresh wine that delivers some nice density from this rainy year. Good depth and structure, with a medium to full body and fine-grained tannins built into the fruit. Tight-grained and pretty long. Good tannins on the palate. 60% merlot, 20% cabernet franc and 20% cabernet sauvignon.

Vinous:

The 2024 Montlandrie is a potent, deep wine with strong Cabernet character. Dried herbs, licorice, menthol, lavender and blue/purplish Merlot fruit all race across the palate before Cabernet Sauvignon tannins come alive to frame the potent, explosive finish. Superb. - Antonio Galloni.

Jeb Dunnuck:

The 2024 Château Montlandrie is 60% Merlot and 20% each of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon brought up in 50% new barrels. It has a deep purple ruby hue to go with ripe darker cherry and currant fruits as well some plenty of chalky minerality, graphite, and some violet nuances. It's nicely concentrated, medium-bodied, has plenty of mid-palate depth, and outstanding length.

Decanter:

Blackcurrant and black cherry with black pepper and wet stones. Rich and ripe, certainly not lacking in concentration with high acidity that gives a sweet, mouthwatering core but ends clean, salty and mineral. I like this, a good combination and complexity with layers of elements - texture, fruit and structure. Great expression here, vibrant, energetic but still complex. Ageing 42% new oak barrels. 3.46pH. A yield of 45hl/ha. - Georgina Hindle.

Bettane & Desseuve:

Du muscle bien proportionné, un tannin franc et énergique avec de la fraîcheur qui équilibre tout en finale.
