Tim Atkin:

100 year old vines planted mainly on sandy soils are the source for this wine which is focused on quality and produced in smaller volumes than the rest of the cooperative’s range. The wine is fermented in a combination of barrels, concrete and stainless steel with each bringing a different component to the wine. It is fine, delicate and saline with a creamy yet energetic palate. Full of green grape, lemon and apple, it is an intense and serious interpretation of old vines in the region. 2025-29

The Wine Advocate:

The 2022 Longverdejo has a candied nose with notes of ripe yellow fruit denoting a warmer and riper year, but they still managed to keep a contained 12.5% alcohol and very good acidity and freshness. It was produced with grapes from older vines and part of the project of reviving old yeasts from their facilities, trying to extend the aging potential of the wine. It's round and soft, with a tender palate, varietal notes and a clean finish. 12,984 bottles were filled in November 2023.

Decanter:

Somewhat nutty character, the nose displays scents of fresh citrus fruit and creamy nuances. Intensely concentrated, with a saline finish.
