Viura fermentada en barricas nuevas de roble americano que da lugar a un vino suave, untuoso y marcado por un tanino amable que finaliza en una elegante acidez, con una fase retronasal fresca y francamente interesante. Tras una añada compleja marcada por el alto nivel de precipitaciones, nos encontramos ante un blanco riojano franco y complejo, donde los aromas a fruta blanca se entremezclan con los tostados de madera fina y delicada.

The white 2018 Viña Real Barrel Fermented, also labeled as Viña Real Fermentado en Barrica in the Spanish-speaking countries, is 100% Viura from a late harvest that managed to keep moderate alcohol and good freshness. Some 50% of the must fermented with dry yeasts in a diversity of oak barrels, and the wine matured with the lees that were periodically stirred for four months. The oak is very subtle and feels quite integrated and neatly folded into the fruit. In fact, it's is quite fresh and fruit-driven, easy to drink, subtle and with just a spicy twist. 90,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in April 2019.
