The Wine Advocate:

The entry-level red and the wine with the largest volume corresponds to the 2017 Sílice, mostly Mencía with some 15% of Albarello, Garnacha Tintorera, Merenzao (Trousseau) and even some white grapes, all fermented with 30% full clusters and indigenous yeasts. It matured for nine months with lees in a mixture of old foudres, stainless steel and concrete vats. It shows the warmth of the vintage with some more Mediterranean herb aromas intermixed with wild berries and a touch of black olive. The palate is juicy and round, with slightly dusty tannins and something earthy, faintly bitter in the finish. 17,442 bottles and 130 magnums produced. It was bottled in August 2018.
