Cristalina y brillante.
Nariz
Fresca y compleja. Los aromas de fruta cítrica y tropical (pomelo y piña) y las notas herbáceas se abren para descubrir los recuerdos de sésamo tostado y de hoja de tabaco.

Energética y viva. Impresiona su tensión y equilibrio. Regala un largo y sutilmente salino posgusto.
Temperatura de servicio
Se recomienda servir entre 7 y 10 °C.
Consumo
Óptimo hasta 2045 aproximadamente si se conserva en buenas condiciones.
Maridaje
Ideal con recetas de sabores sutiles y salinos como ostras, vieiras, sepia y pescados blancos al horno.

Las uvas pertenecen a dos viñas situadas a una altitud entre los 90 y 170 metros y con una inclinación entre el 70 y el 100%. Pettenthal es la parcela con más pendiente del Rheinhessen.

The 2019 Nierstein Pettenthal Riesling GG is deep and complex yet discreet on the elegant, noble, crystalline nose. Cristal clear, elegant and vibrantly fresh on the palate, this is a full-bodied and intense yet pure and tensioned Pettenthal with a tight structure, lingering grip and salinity and a very long, intense finish. Decanter:

The still slightly flinty whiff of reduction blends beautifully into the savory potentilla notes that are so typical of the rhyolite Rieslings from Pettenthal on the Red Slope, Rheinhessen's east-facing escarpment on the Rhine. This is followed by a sense of utter concentration and emollience. On the palate there is a bundled force of lemony brightness, seamless, luminous and brilliant. James Suckling:

Considerable funk at first, but also a lot of fresh pineapple and wild herbs. A concentrated and powerful wine that remains sleek and cool, this has a very exciting finish with laser-beam focus. That suggests to me that it will shine, if you can wait just a little. Better after 2021.
