Descripción

Este vino ecológico, elaborado mayoritariamente con la variedad Syrah y un leve aporte de Garnacha, se beneficia de un clima suave y envejece durante año y medio en diferentes formatos. Entrega aromas herbáceos, terrosos y de fruta negra junto a un paladar concentrado y profundo. Su estupenda relación puntos-placer-precio es sin duda su mejor baza.

Viñedo y elaboración

Descripción
Viñedos situados a una altitud de 390 metros dentro de la apelación Saint Maurice Côtes du Rhône Villages.
Clima
Las uvas disfrutan de noches frescas y días cálidos y soleados.
Cosecha
La vendimia se realiza en varias fases y las uvas se machacan antes de colocarlas en barriles troncocónicos de madera especialmente diseñados (por la cantidad de uvas de esta cosecha) utilizando la gravedad.
Envejecimiento
18 meses en barricas bordelesas de un vino, demi-muids y barricas troncocónicas.

The Wine Advocate:

Almost entirely Syrah (there's 5% Grenache), the 2016 Cotes du Rhone Villages Saint Maurice Guillaume de Rouville is a super effort. Smoky, meaty and loaded with black olive and espresso, this full-bodied wine is rich and velvety, yet it possesses crisp acids on the long finish. Don't expect it to have the longevity of a Hermitage, but there is a family resemblance.

Beautifully rich and sexy, with loads of blackberries, black cherries, peppery herbs, bacon fat, and spring flowers, the 2016 Côtes du Rhône Villages Saint Maurice Guillaume de Rouville is the flagship cuvée and is 95% Syrah and 5% Grenache that’s brought up mostly in once-used Burgundy and Bordeaux barrels. Full-bodied, deep and layered on the palate, with tons of character, it’s one of the finest Syrah-based cuvées coming out of the Southern Rhône.
