Descripción
El Escheburg de la bodega de Mosela Immich-Batterieberg es un vino vivo y profundo, en los que los aromas brillan con intensidad. En nariz es muy maduro y floral y, debido a las cálidas temperaturas del 2018, significativamente más afrutado que en añadas anteriores. En paladar es estructurado y se define por un perfil fino y juguetón, complementado con notas especiadas que remarcan su vitalidad, así como por un largo paso por boca. Este vino, elaborado a partir de cepas de más de 60 años, encarna - con garra y elegancia - la esencia de los cuatro grandes viñedos de Enkirch. Los 92+ puntos Parker y 91 puntos Suckling con los que fue calificada esta añada confirman la excelente calidad del vino.

The 2018 Riesling Escheburg is very ripe and floral on the nose and, due to the warm vintage, significantly warmer and more fruity than in previous vintages. However, the wine is seriously structured on the palate, where the generosity becomes finer and younger, revealing crystalline acidity and texture. This, again, is a bit more Alsatian in character but with the piquancy of predominantly ungrafted vines of four grands crus that make it into the Escheburg. This wine needs some years to gain finesse, but with the right dishes (cheese as well), this fruit-intense, salty-piquant and slatey Riesling with 12% alcohol will perform well today. Tasted in April 2020.
A little funky with lots of milk and bean curd, but there’s plenty of stone fruit behind that. Quite phenolic and dense with a waxy texture, but some serious dryness and salinity on the finish. Drink now.
