"The eponymous white 2015 Coto de Gomariz is always one of the wines to show the character of the vintage in Ribeiro, especially the zone of Gomariz where the grapes are sourced, and this exceptional 2015 is no different. It's mainly Treixadura, with 30% Godello, Albariño and Loureira grown on three different types of soil—granite, schist and clay. It ferments in stainless steel vats and is kept until the following spring when it is bottled. The wines are always sold at least one year after bottling, so this is kept in bottle for at least that time before it's released. Nuanced, open, developed and expressive, the nose is captivating and elegant, with some development and complexity. The palate is marked especially by the granite and slate soils that provide a mouthfeel and texture which is very specific. This is simply superb. 50,000 bottles produced in five different lots".
