Descripción

Este vino es el más representativo de la bodega y se produce solo en las mejores añadas a partir de una cuidadosa selección de uvas de la variedad Sangiovese del viñedo de Pianrosso. El aroma es intenso, complejo, frutal y especiado con gran equilibrio en boca entre los taninos pronunciados y la acidez. Este elegante vino tiene un gran potencial de envejecimiento en botella.

El aroma es intenso, complejo, frutal y especiado, con matices de de bayas rojas maduras enriquecidas con diversas notas especiadas.
Boca
Cálido, suave y armónico con gran equilibrio entre los taninos pronunciados y la acidez.
Temperatura de servicio
Se recomienda servir a 18 ºC.
Consumo
Hasta 2047 si se conserva en óptimas condiciones.
Maridaje
Gran acompañante de carnes guisadas y carne asada y de caza (como la liebre, el faisán y el jabalí). Excelente con quesos maduros.

Viñedo y elaboración

Vinificación
Fermentación en tanques de acero inoxidable a temperatura controlada.
Envejecimiento
Crianza de 36 meses en barricas de roble esloveno. Posteriormente reposa durante 8 meses en botella.

James Suckling:

Aromas of lilac, dark berry and sandalwood follow through to a full body, with fine tannins and an intense and savory finish. Very intense and very long. Succulent. Amazing balance and depth to this red. It's so beautiful to taste now but it will be much better in five to ten years. A triumph.

The Wine Advocate:

Beautiful and delicate from the start, the 2010 Brunello di Montalcino Vigna di Pianrosso impresses for its depth and balance. The wine sees one more year of oak cask aging compared to the base Brunello and you can definitely sense the extra spice on the nose. Those delicate balsam notes of root beer, ginger and rosemary oil are still prominently on display. Rich spice, leather and tar are followed by dark fruit, prune, blackberry and cassis. The finish is graceful and silky, but its length remains impressive. This is a terrific effort that promises a steady evolution ahead.

Falstaff:

Funkelndes, sattes Rubin mit leichtem Granatrand. Vielschichtige Nase, nach dunklen, eingelegten Kirschen, leichte Anklänge an Ribiseln, fein und präzise. Geschliffen und fein am Gaumen, viel präsente Frucht, öffnet sich mit feinmaschigem, seidigem Tannin, große Eleganz, sehr langer Nachhall.

Wine Enthusiast:

Enticing aromas of blue flower, ripe berry, pressed powder and Mediterranean herb float from the glass. The firm palate shows great intensity, delivering layers of black cherry, dark cooking spice and licorice alongside youthfully austere tannins. It's still young and tightly knit so give it time to unwind and develop complexity. Drink 2020–2030.
