Descripción

Château Sigalas Rabaud es un Sauternes muy conocido y valorado por su finura. Extraordinario Premier Grand Cru Classé. Sus viñas viejas, cultivadas principalmente con la variedad Semillón, crecen a menos de 500 metros de las del mítico Château D´Yquem. Denso, dulce y envolvente.

Nariz
Predominantemente floral, con notas de tilo, junto con aromas de melocotón, albaricoque, pera y cítricos.
Boca
Paso fresco, resultado de la alta proporción de Sauvignon blanc. Estructura sólida. La Semillón le aporta un equilibrio y una longitud impresionantes.
Temperatura de servicio
Entre 5 y 7 ºC.
Consumo
Óptimo hasta 2030 aproximadamente si se conserva en óptimas condiciones.

Fermentación en barricas de roble entre 30 y 35 días.

The Wine Advocate:

Composed of 95% Semillon and 5% Sauvignon Blanc, the 2008 Sigalas Rabaud features a pale lemon-gold color and nose of warm pineapple, guava and peach preserves with touches of honeycomb and toast. Elegant in the mouth with a lively backbone, it is drinking beautifully now, with complex earthy notions coming through on the long finish. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown.

This shows really good intensity on the palate for the vintage with loads of honey, dried lemons and apricot tart. Medium to full-body, medium sweet and a dense and fresh finish. Semi-oily mouth feel. Why wait?

Très ouvert, ce joli sauternes nous régale dès aujourd’hui. Très expressif, ce millésime de Sigalas Rabaud offre une bouche délicieuse, au fruité séducteur et à la liqueur tout en finesse.

Barrel sample. On the dry side, this is powerful textured, a firm ripe wine that has big botrytis flavors, a very dry core. Obviously a wine for aging.
