Descripción

Château Pibran tiene una ubicación privilegiada, concretamente posee 17 hectáreas de viñedos en un terroir de gravas que comparten con prestigiosos vecinos como Mouton-Rothschild, Lynch-Bages o Château Pontet-Canet. Un clásico de Pauillac que se beneficia además del mismo equipo técnico de Château Pichon Longueville Baron. En su juventud se muestra jugoso aunque su buena estructura tánica le augura una larga guarda. Catado en barrica por Neil Martin con un rango de puntuación de 90-92 puntos Parker.

Opinión de los críticos

The Wine Advocate:

"The 2016 Pibran is a blend of 55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon picked between 4 and 18 October, and matured in 50% new oak for what will be a total of 18 months. It offers plenty of ripe black cherry and blackcurrant aromas on the nose, a touch of blueberry and a light patisserie (choux pastry?) emanating from the new oak that will be subsumed with time. The palate is medium-bodied with quite firm tannin, a structured and more masculine Pibran compared to the 2015 with fine salinity and "bite" on the finish. This will benefit and meliorate throughout its barrel maturation and I am sure it will give 15-20 years of drinking pleasure."
