1583 Albariño de Fefiñanes 2023

1583 is one of a comparatively small number of Rías Baixas whites that's fermented in 10% new French oak. Made with grapes from vineyards that are over 45 years' old this is characteristically nuanced and well balanced, mixing flavours of lime, orange zest, aniseed and patisserie spices with a subtle undertone of toast. 2024-29

As is often the case, the oaking of the 2023 1583 Albariño de Fefiñanes is quite subtle and brings out some peachy notes and some creaminess. The wine is velvety and has pungent flavors, with integrated acidity and a dry, chalky finish.
