The Wine Advocate:

The 2023 La Hoya had completed its first winter in 500- and 600-liter barrels and the second one in oak foudre and was in stainless steel (because he doesn't have enough foudres for all the wines yet) when I tasted it. It has a little less alcohol than the 2022—because they harvested earlier—but the sensation of ripeness is higher, which is the constant in the aromatics of the 2023s. But they also have less extraction, as he's looking for finer-boned wines; and despite not being clarified, the tannins are quite round. Expected production is around 4,000 bottles, which should be filled in May or June 2025. (Luis Guitérrez)
