Versos de Valtuille Vino de Villa 2022

The village red 2022 Valtuille de Abajo Vino de Villa comes from vines in the leux-dits or "parajes" of Matalospardos, Villegas, Cabanelas, El Val and La Rata. It's mostly Mencía with some 10% Alicante Bouschet and 5% other red and white varieties that fermented in 7,500-liter oak vats with around 15% full clusters and matured in 225- and 500-liter oak barrels for one year. It's floral, aromatic and clean, with 13.3% alcohol and a pH of 3.65. It's round and fleshy, with ripe fruit flavors but without excess and with a velvety texture. 12,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in February 2024.
