El Puño Garnacha 2021

I love the 2021 El Puño Garnacha, which was produced in a similar way as the 2020, only with a slightly higher percentage of wine in barrel (50% versus 40%), but the oak goes unnoticeable. It has notes of blood orange and a citric touch of freshness that makes it very showy, aromatic and attractive. It has 14.5%, a pH of 3.5 and 5.1 grams of acidity, still parameters that denote good freshness, acidity and balance. This is a serious, complex, elegant and austere Garnacha. 4,900 bottles were filled in April 2023.

Fresh red cherries and spiced berries on the nose with some grilled herbs. Juicy and bright on the palate with fine, dusty tannins on the linear, medium-bodied palate. Lots of crunch here with sappy red berry fruit that extends into the finish. A succulent and nimble garnacha that makes you want to reach for a second glass. Enjoy now.
