Algueira Serradelo 2016

Expertenbewertungen
Similar to the varietal Merenzao from the same year, the 2016 Serradelo Brancellao feels like a triumph over the adverse conditions of the year. And like its sibling, this seems to have a subtle creamy patina, perhaps imparted by the élevage of 12 months in 300-liter French oak barrels, which somewhat masks the character of this delicate variety. It's medium-bodied and balanced, with fine but slightly dusty tannins and a dry finish. It should show better with a little more time in bottle. 5,228 bottles were filled in April 2019.
A pure brancellao with tea and sliced plum aromas and a balsamic note. The palate is clean with lots of acidity and pretty evolution. Drink now.
