James Suckling:

Shows length and structure in a linear, compacted way with blueberries, blackcurrants and hints of lemongrass. Medium-bodied and racy. Cool fruit. 78% cabernet sauvignon and 22% merlot.

Decanter:

Ripe and concentrated blackcurrant aromas on the nose - lifted scents. Bright acidity meets quite dry tannins, still quite compact and feels a little pushed. There’s purity of fruit and cooling minuteness but the tannins are doing all the talking and distract with clove, tobacco and dark chocolate. Quite mineral too. This is sculpted but on the razor sharp edge. Not so charming right now, more serious. This will need some more time to integrate. Ageing 58% new barrels. Georgina Hindle.

Vinous:

The 2024 Lynch-Moussas was matured in 58% new oak. The bouquet is quite expressive with touches of violet borrowed from Margaux. The oak is nicely integrated and crisp black and blue fruit unfold in the glass. Medium-bodied with saturated tannins, this is quite a bold and comparatively precocious Pauillac with a thickly-textured finish. It will be interesting to revisit this once in bottle.

Falstaff:

Dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, delicate edge brightening. Delicate notes of dried plum, a hint of fig, candied orange zest, with delicate nuances of wood in the background. Sweet fruit, somewhat broad, red berry notes, delicately nutty on the finish, offers uncomplicated drinking pleasure.
