Ricardo Velasco thinks this is the best Crianza he's made yet, and he may well be right. Using grapes from high-altitude Piñel de Arriba, it's a distinctive cuvée of Tinto Fino with 3% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Merlot. Floral, intense and refreshing, it's a classic páramo (moorland) style showing scented oak, blueberry, raspberry and cassis flavours and impressive underlying structure. 2024-29

James Suckling:

Plush blackberries, spices, roasted black sesame, hazelnuts and chocolate follow through to a medium to full body with fine-boned tannins. Dusty in texture, with a lengthy, tightly wound finish. Delicious now, but can hold.
