Bettane & Desseauve:

Grande énergie pour ce vin mûr et profond, déjà expressif, il va évoluer de la meilleure des façons.

Jeb Dunnuck:

Lemon and lime, crushed stone, mint, and thyme notes emerge from the 2024 Virginie De Valandraud Blanc, a blend of 60% Sauvignon Blanc and 40% Semillon. Fresh and focused on the palate, it shows beautifully integrated acidity, medium-bodied depth and richness, and impressive length.

James Suckling:

A precise, flavorful Bordeaux blanc with drive and crunch. Sliced green apples, white peaches, subtle cream and some herbs on the nose. Medium-bodied, this has good depth of flavor and bright acidity. Textural and delicious with a mineral edge in the lengthy finish.

Vinous:

The 2024 Virginie de Valandraud Blanc was picked through three passages in the vines à la Sauternes and was matured in 70% new oak and 30% concrete tanks. It has an attractive bouquet with yellow plum, wild peach and honeysuckle scents. The palate is fresh on the entry with lime cordial and orange pith notes, well balanced with decent persistency on the finish. A delicious Virginie de Valandraud. Neil Martin.

Decanter:

Spiced, herbal and green fruited - apple and pear. Crisp and zingy with some almost fatness to the expression which gives a lovely texture and weight in the mouth. Not too tart, the acidity is certainly in the background considering how low the pH is, this is all about the fruit flavours. Touches of bitterness, sweet apple and juicy lemon emerge towards the finish. Characterful and charming as well as clean! Ageing 30% in concrete vats and 70% in new or one or two year barrels for 6-8 months. 3.15pH. One third of Semillon did malolactic fermentation.
