Rauzan Gassies 2024 en Primeur

Earthy and spicy aromas with some clove and thyme as well as damson and sloe fruit. Juicy acidity and good balance of tannins to fruit weight. Mid length finish.

A juicy, balanced and chocolaty red with plums and herbs on the nose, following through to a medium body with creamy tannins. Plenty of texture. Berries and chocolate on the flavorful finish.

The 2024 Rauzan Gassies is a bit burly and rough around the edges, but it could turn out to be quite good if élevage softens the contours. Dark red fruit, licorice, incense, leather and dried herbs build nicely, lending notable complexity throughout. I am eager to taste this from bottle. Antonio Galloni.

Dark ruby, purple reflections, subtle brightening on the rim. Delicate notes of liquorice and plums, fine blackberry confit, subtle nougat touch. Firm, dark fruit, present, somewhat demanding tannins, subtle acidity, slightly leafy on the finish, dries out a little.
